ARCHIPRODUCTS Design Talks Milan Design Week 2014

Archiproducts talks about iSaloni through the trends of international design.
3 crews went around stands and locations during the world’s most important design week interviewing more than 150 designers that reinvented and interpreted the products from the best brands of Il Salone 2014.

During the Milan Design Week one of the most interesting opportunities to get away from the bizarre carousel of aperitifs, presentations and inaugurations, was the Grimshaw Architects talk at the Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia organized by Poltrona Frau Contract to present Element exhibition. The stunning location, which last year hosted Dame Zaha Hadid, this year opened its doors to Sir Nicholas Grimshaw and Andrew Whalley (Deputy chairman at Grimshaw Architects).

I was looking for a peaceful corner in the chaotic fair space of iSaloni and here we are in the Floating Forest at Cassina booth, with background sounds of twittering (social and not) and water flowing follow through the floating forest space, characterized by floating trees in mirror faces boxes designed by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto and winner of the last Golden Lion Award for his participation in the Japanese Pavilion – Home for All at the Biennale di Venezia in 2012 .

David Adjaye, who presented the new Washington Collection, tells us about his new project, featured in Knoll’s new products at iSaloni.
The Washington Collection for Knoll consists of seating that transforms David Adjaye’s architectural and sculptural vision into accessible objects for the home and office.
